Ms Anastasia Rachmanidou is a consultant ENT Surgeon at the University Hospital Lewisham, London. She is an otolaryngologist who specialises in rhinology (the study of the nose, including the sinuses), paediatric ENT, snoring treatment, palatal surgery and voice disorders.
Anastasia Rachmanidou studied medicine, in Thessaloniki Greece. Following that she undertook general surgical training, and went on to specialise in Ear, Nose and Throat disorders. She then moved to Edinburgh, Scotland where she completed higher surgical training in ENT and head and neck surgery.
In 1999, she completed her studies for the Diploma in Forensic Medicine from the University of Edinburgh. She was a Research Registrar in Rhinology with the academic department of Respiratory Medicine, St Bartholomew's Hospital, London.
Anastasia Rachmanidou became a Consultant ENT Surgeon in London at The University Hospital Lewisham, London, in 2000.
Anastasia Rachmanidou is a lead mentor for coblation (radio-frequency) dissection in the UK. Her audit and research projects focus on the use of coblation for adeno-tonsillectomy and nasal turbinate reduction as well as palatal surgery. She has completed studies on the diagnosis of obstruction level for simple snoring and / or Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).
She has acquired qualifications in Management and Teaching and has a great interest in Medical Education.
